Ember.js
A proven JavaScript framework for rich UI experiences
When famous names publicly acknowledge the software they use, you know it’s got to be good. Just like Netflix, LinkedIn and GroupOn, we rate Ember.js highly for its ability to create modern, scalable web applications.
Ember.js is an open source JavaScript web framework that can be used to create scalable, single or multi-page web applications. Unlike Vue.js, it’s designed to be used to build complete applications, rather than just individual elements. But like Vue.js, the fact that it’s a framework lets us build at speed.
Another reason we like it is that, at nearly a decade old, Ember.js has been fully battle tested. It may be one of the first wave of modern JavaScript frameworks, but it is still being actively maintained and updated.
Ember.js development
We use Ember.js when we want to build a fully immersive JavaScript application that uses APIs provided by Drupal, Ruby on Rails or Laravel. It can access data across multiple sources at once – as similar jobs are processed together, this improves performance. And it supports dynamic and nested URLs and asynchronous data loading.
Ember.js includes its own built-in development environment, which enables fast rebuilds and auto-reload. It also has three levels of testing built in.
Bespoke Ember.js development
Ember.js is ideal for building truly ambitious applications. You only have to look at its pedigree to see that – other applications that rely on Ember.js include Microsoft, Apple and TED. That’s a pretty impressive list.
Here at Full Fat Things, we used Ember.js to power a shopping cart for cloud hosting specialist Peer 1 Hosting. This is no simple cart, however. Instead, it’s a multi-page solution builder capable of constructing complex hosting environments with live pricing.
This is just one of the many applications we’ve built using Ember.js. Get in touch to find out more.
